How does CricBooking work?

CricBooking is a marketplace connecting cricket players with venues — grounds, indoor pitches and practice nets. Players search for a venue, pick an available time slot and book instantly. Venue owners list their venue, set their own pricing and availability, and manage bookings from their own dashboard.

How do I book a pitch?

Accepted Answer

Search for a venue by location, pitch type or date on the Venues page, open the venue you like, pick an available time slot and confirm. There's no waiting for a reply — the booking is instant.

Can I book more than one hour at a time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Select consecutive available hours on the venue's booking page and they'll be combined into a single booking, priced hour by hour at that pitch's rates.

Why can't I book a particular time slot?

Accepted Answer

A slot is unavailable if it's already booked, has been blocked by the venue owner (for maintenance or another reason), falls outside the pitch's opening hours, or doesn't have pricing configured yet.

How is the price calculated?

Each pitch has an hourly rate that can vary by day and time. If your booking spans a rate change, you're charged the correct rate for each hour, summed — never a flat rate applied across the whole booking.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes — from My Bookings, you can cancel any pending or confirmed booking more than 24 hours before its start time. Bookings starting within 24 hours can no longer be cancelled by the player.

Can a venue owner cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

In rare cases, yes — for example venue maintenance, weather, or an emergency. If that happens, your booking will be marked as cancelled by the venue, and the reason the owner gave will stay visible on that booking permanently.

How do I know who cancelled a booking?

Accepted Answer

Every cancelled booking in My Bookings clearly shows whether it was "Cancelled by you" or "Cancelled by the venue", along with the reason if one was given.

How do I list my venue?

Create a venue owner account, then add your venue's details, pitches, availability and pricing through the guided setup. Once submitted, our team reviews it before it's visible to players.

Is listing my venue free?

Yes, listing is completely free — there's no setup fee or monthly charge to list your venue and start taking bookings.

Can I set different prices for different times?

Accepted Answer

Yes — pricing rules can vary by day of week and time of day, so you can charge more for peak evening slots and less for quieter hours.

Can I block off time when I'm not taking bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from your owner calendar you can block any time range for maintenance, private events, or any other reason — blocked time simply won't show as available to players.

How do owners manage bookings?

Accepted Answer

Your Owner Dashboard and Calendar show every booking for your venue at a glance, including the player's name for each one. You can cancel an upcoming confirmed booking with a reason if you need to, and you'll get a notification whenever a new booking comes in.

Is CricBooking free to use?

Yes. Browsing and booking is free for players, and listing a venue is free for owners — there are no booking fees added on top of the venue's own pricing.
